The old imperial city of Aachen is close to the border triangle of Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium. The city is famous for its hot and healthy sources of sulphureous water and its mediaeval cityscape with the Aachen cathedral and the big and well-fortified city gates “Marschiertor” and “Ponttor”. With a population figure about 250.000 citizens whereof 50.000 are students, Aachen is an open-minded and multicultural city. The city has a very good infrastructure of local traffic and also the connection to cities like Cologne, Düsseldorf, Lüttich, Brüssel, Maastricht and even Paris is easily reachable. Students of the RWTH-Aachen get a semester ticket, with which it is possible to travel in the city and suburbs by bus and to travel to Cologne and Düsseldorf by train for free. Because of Aachen's student flair there are a lot of taverns, cinemas, theatres, discos and bistros in the city, so that there won't appear any boredom. The university-sport department and several public clubs offer a wide range of sport activities. Aachen is a marked place of technology with a high density of university institutes. This is especially interesting for students, who want to connect their visit with a job. So it is possible to link the pleasurable occasion with the advantageous.

Ankara was Atatürk's headquarters from 1920 and has been the capital of the Republic since its founding in 1923, replacing Istanbul following the fall of the Ottoman Empire. The government is a prominent employer, but Ankara is also an important commercial and industrial city, located at the center of Turkey's road and railway networks. The city gave its name to the Angora wool shorn from Angora rabbits, the long-haired Angora goat (the source of mohair), and the Angora cat. The area is also known for its pears, honey, and muscat grapes. Although situated in one of the driest places of Turkey and surrounded mostly by steppe vegetation except for the forested areas on the southern periphery, Ankara can be considered a green city in terms of green areas per inhabitant, at 72 square metres (775 square feet) per head.

Athens (/ˈæθnz/;Modern Greek: Αθήνα, Athína Greek pronunciation: [aˈθina], Ancient Greek: Ἀθῆναι, Athênai) is the capital and largest city of Greece. Athens dominates the Attica region and is one of the world's oldest cities, with its recorded history spanning over 3,400 years, and its earliest human presence starting somewhere between the 11th and 7th millennia BC.[3] Classical Athens was a powerful city-state that emerged in conjunction with the seagoing development of the port of Piraeus, which had been a distinct city prior to its 5th century BC incorporation with Athens.

Delft is close to the Dutch coast and in the middle between The Hague and Rotterdam. Delft is more than 750 years old and the city owes its name to the word 'delving', digging the oldest canal, the Oude Delft. In the beautifully preserved historic centre of Delft you get in touch with the rich history of the city all the time. There is no other place where you will encounter so many globally appealing cultural-historical values as in Delft – Delftware, Johannes Vermeer, the link with the Dutch royal family and the Dutch East India Company. But Delft is more than history; Delft is a lively modern city with many innovations, of which the TU is the perfect example.
With 15000 students the TU Delft is the biggest technical university in the Netherlands and the only one to offer a full Aerospace Engineering program in the BENELUX. Beside their study the students in Delft organise lots of activities, making Delft a lively student city . As for the Dutch industry, there is Stork Fokker, DutchSpace, KLM E&M and many more. Pisa is a city and cultural center in Tuscany, central Italy. Although it is known worldwide for its famous Leaning Tower and for the Square of Miracles, where this tower lays, the city offers much more in terms of monuments and we can count about more than 20 other historical churches, several medieval palaces and various bridges across the Arno river; furthermore, the city center is surrounded by its beautiful walkable walls built during the historical period of the Repubblica of Pisa.

Pisa is a cultural center of reference thanks to the University of Pisa, a public institution attended by thousands and thousands of students coming from all over Italy and from all over the world, whose presence makes city a very enjoyable one to live in; the University of Pisa is also linked to the “Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa” and to the “Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies”, which are both the best and most prestigious Superior Graduate Schools in Italy. Last but not least, the University has close relations with the ”Pisan Institutes of the National Board of Research”, with many cultural institutions of national and international importance, and with industries, especially those based in information technology.
