Public Relations

The Public Relations Working Group was set up during the AMEAC'08 Rzeszow in order to spread our voice to the world! The PRWG connects Working Groups and Affiliated Societies with companies  and universities and maintains a corporate communication between the association and as well as the third parties e.g. associated and supporting companies, institutions, partners, other NGOs and the entire media.

By producing tangible and non-tangible promotional material we can spread the EUROAVIA brandname across the corporate and the student world. This promotional material is distributed across the members of EUROAVIA and helps in maintaining a close contact with the activities of the association at the international level and the affiliated societies.

The majority of this material is non-tangible and is being used in social media promotion, in which EUROAVIA has active participation by using the official accounts in Facebook, Twitter, Youtube and Instagram. Social media promotion helps in raising awareness of our association and its mission, especially in the field of aerospace technology and all the adjacent fields. The social media activity helps EUROAVIA grow its audience and will increase its influence in the realm of the aerospace field.

Another major activity of the PR WG is handling the official EUROAVIA store. In this store, all EUROAVIAns have the opportunity to order their favourite clothes marked with the official EUROAVIA logo and a design, related to the character of our association. In any EMEAC, AMEAC, Fly-In or any other international events if you see the EUROAVIA Logo you can see and feel our touch there!

The members are:

International Events WG

iewgpic

The International Events WG works to ensure high quality international events in EUROAVIA by supporting the Affiliated Societies involved in the organisation of such events. There are many types of international events, each focusing on developing specific aspects, and all of them are organised by one of our Affiliated Societies.

International events are the true core of EUROAVIA, the moment when the EUROAVIA spirit gets instilled in every participant and, for those few days, the dream of our founding fathers becomes extremely clear. This is why the International Events WG is one of the most active and most important in EUROAVIA!

Organising an international event is not an easy task. It requires time, energy and commitment, not to mention a strong and cohesive team willing to work together for several months. EUROAVIA international events, then, must respect some minimum quality standards reported in article 3.5 of the EUROAVIA Bylaws. It is for all these reasons that the International Events WG was founded during EMEAC 2011 Lisboa, to support (prospective) Affiliated Societies in the fulfilment of these projects.

During the years, the International Events WG has also acquired additional tasks and responsibility, bringing it to have three main areas of responsibility.

International Events Tutoring

As soon as an Affiliated Society decides to organise an international event, the International Events WG assigns a tutor to support the organisation team. A tutor is a person experienced in the organisation of international events that work together with the organisation committee to define a clear timeline to prepare for the event and a tasks division. Moreover, the tutor is always available to provide tips and tricks for many organisational aspects of the international event (especially about how to attract sponsors and partners).

If you are an Affiliated Society and you have decided to organise an international event, then contact the International Events WG at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. as soon as possible and give a look at the Tutoring page. Take advantage of the great support and experience that this WG is providing!

Affiliated Societies WG

AS blueThe Affiliated Societies Working Group was established during EMEAC 2011 in Lisbon in order to increase the efficiency of communication between Affiliated Societies and the International Board. After EMEAC 2015 in Sevilla, a restructuring of this WG was required by dividing it into three different departments:

  • Board of Presidents Unit (BoP)
  • Search & Rescue Unit (SaR)
  • EUROAVIA Expansion Unit (EAX)

Board of Presidents Unit

EUROAVIA is divided into 5 European regions (East, South, Middle, German and West). Representatives from each AS which belong to the region are part of this Board of Presidents Unit. The aim of this unit is to establish effective ways to communicate with neighbouring AS and the IB.

Regular meetings take place each month throughout the year. They are mostly organized by a regional coordinator. In the context of these meetings, opportunities from the international level will be brought to the AS and possibly occurred problems will be discussed. The AS also explain what they organize locally and exchange ideas. Moreover, an IB responsible will provide assistance during the entire Business Year.

Furthermore, the BoPs have been extended to Social Media Networks (Facebook, WhatsApp...) in order to establish quick ways to arrange meetings and share information, apart from the traditional e-mailing list.

An additional task of this Unit is to help AS by guiding them towards other Working Groups such as:

  • International Events WG to help to organize local and international events and promote participation in international events.
  • Communication WG that requires each month at least one Newsletter article per BoP region.
  • IT WG to assist all technical problems such as the mailing system and the Local Groups section on EUROAVIA website.

Search & Rescue Unit

Unfortunately, some AS get lost on the way due to generation gaps or any other issues disappearing from the EUROAVIA network.

In order to avoid this problem, SaR focuses on those AS that still belong to our network but that are undergoing several issues or with whom the communication was lost. The objective is accomplished by searching for contacts and trying to reactivate them, assisting to solve their problems and supporting them throughout the whole process.

EUROAVIA Expansion Unit (EAX)

Expanding our EUROAVIA family by reaching more universities in order to keep growing is the main goal of this unit.

Targeting universities with aerospace, mechanical and electrical engineering faculties in order to start a collaboration with them. Getting in contact with the different student groups or professors and try to set up a new Affiliated Society (PPAS).
