About the University / Faculty:

The University of Bologna was founded in 1088 A.D. by an independent association of students, it is the oldest university in continuous operation in the world, and the first university in the sense of a higher-learning and degree-awarding institute, as the word universitas was coined at its foundation.
In Forlì the University detains the core for research and innovation and presents many of the most valuable fluid dynamics research facilities of the world (CICLoPE).
Forlì campus was founded in 2001 and currently offers 17 study courses, 11 master courses and enrols more than 6000 students.

About the City:

Founded by the Romans in II century B.C. Forlì is located in the eastern part of the Po river valley along the via Emilia, a few Kilometers from the seaside resorts of the Adriatic coast and along the slopes of the green Tuscan-Romagna Apennines.
Today Forlì still retains significant traces of Roman and Renaissance times, as well as preserving the rich heritage of the age of Rationalism from the twenties and thirties.

 About the Local Group:

EUROAVIA Forlì-Bologna was founded in January 2019 by a group of passionate Aerospace Engineering students. In November 2019 it held its first international event, the Aerodynamics Symposium, consisting of theoretical lectures and visits to companies and testing facilities, such as RIBA and CICLoPE, as well as social and cultural activities.
Currently, the local group counts 70 members, most of whom study aerospace engineering, and 7 alumni.
The local group regularly organizes meetings, workshops and cultural events such as the "Space Rendez-Vous" where PhD students and professors present a topic of their area of expertise.
During the worldwide pandemic, most of the activities shifted online; however, since the situation is improving, new activities will now be held in presence.
